Briky is a pet that lives on your phone (and, if you like, your Mac), made by Pocket Meadow. This says what it knows about you, where that goes, and how to make it go away.
Your pet, its history, the names you give your pets, your settings and your saved looks stay on your device, in the app's own storage. Two things leave it:
Some reactions are switched off until you turn them on, and each reads only what it needs, on the device, without sending it anywhere:
Signing in with Google is optional. If you do:
To find and fix crashes, and to learn which parts of Briky people actually use, the Android app sends two kinds of anonymous information. Neither is linked to you or your account, and neither is used for advertising.
Never included: your name, email or account; your friends, their names or anything about them; your pets' names; anything from your calendar, notifications, health, usage access or other apps; your location; your advertising ID or your phone's device ID — Briky switches both off.
How it is counted: each installation has a random identifier, so that one person using a feature twice is not counted as two people. It is not tied to you or your account, and a new one is made if you reinstall.
Where: Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. Google processes this for Briky as a service provider. Usage counts are kept for 2 months and crash reports for 90 days.
Switching it off: in the app, Customise → More → Help improve Briky. Off, nothing is sent.
On a Mac: no usage counts. When something goes wrong, the Mac app sends a crash report — what failed and where in Briky's code, with the Briky version — to Briky's own server (briky.sutharsha.com), not to Google. It is not shared with anyone. To switch it off: the eyes in the menu bar → Send Crash Reports.
Only when you tap Send a report (Customise → More, beside the version), the Android app sends Briky's own server (pocketmeadowhq.com) what you wrote, and with it what is needed to find the problem:
A report carries no account id, yours or a friend's, so it is not linked to you.
Never included: messages (Briky has none), names, your contacts, anything from your calendar, notifications, health or usage access, or your location. Reports are used only to fix problems and are not shared with anyone. To have yours deleted, write to the address under Contact and say roughly when you sent it and what it said.
Briky Pro is bought through Google Play. Briky receives only whether a purchase was made, never your payment details.
In the app: Customise → More → Backup → Delete my account and backups. That deletes every backup, your friends list, your friend code and the account itself. Uninstalling the app deletes everything on the device.
Without the app: email pocketmeadow@googlegroups.com from the Google account you signed in with, asking for your Briky data to be deleted, and it will be — all of it, within 30 days.
Briky is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

You can give your pet a name. Names must be kind: rude, hateful or sexual names are not allowed, including ones spelled around the rules or that only sound rude said aloud. Briky checks names when you choose them and may change a name back to the character's own if it breaks this. A name stays on your device, and in your backup if you sign in; it is not shown to anyone else.
